NEW ARRIVAL At first glance, the Gibson J15 is a stripped down J45 / J50, a classic slope shouldered dreadnought. But on closer inspection, the Walnut back and sides, Maple neck, rectangular bridge, Abalone rosette and scalloped bracing reveals something quite different. The Walnut back and sides deliver a darker, moodier tone than traditional Mahogany, coupled with a Maple neck and scalloped bracing, the guitar is very resonant, and particularly allows the bass and mids to ring through. The treble response is there, but understated. As you’d expect from a modern Gibson, the playability is very good and the feel of the neck is great. Tonally it’s a very versatile guitar, a real all rounder, and it’s in excellent condition. It features an LR Baggs element pickup with volume control mounted inside the soundhole, and comes in it’s original Gibson embossed hard case.
