NEW ARRIVAL Back in the 40’s, before mass production, the trees used to make guitars would have been around 300 years old. These naturally slow grown trees had a greater density to them than, say, trees used in the 60’s that would have been 100 - 150 years old. The tonal characteristic of this is depth and warmth. Add to that the fat necks used on the Banner guitars, which carry fuller tone and greater sustain, and you realise why these guitars are so desirable. No other era of Gibsons feel or sound like the Banners. There’s also the cool factor and you start to see why they are a collectors dream. The guitar is in well played condition, quite scruffy in places, and the tone has only benefited from this - what a sound..... the guitar practically plays itself, it just oozes character, very mellow and smooth - a real joy to play. The guitar looks and plays great, and even comes in it's original hard case.
