NEW ARRIVAL The CF-100E has the honour of being the first cutaway flat-top electric acoustic guitar Gibson ever built. The guitar shared the LG-2’s body size and build spec, but with deluxe Les-Paul style inlays, pearl headstock logo and trapezoid inlays, and a Florentine cutaway. It also features a P-90 pickup at the end of the fingerboard and top-mounted volume and tone controls. The Gibson Montana luthiers have faithfully captured the original characteristics of the original guitar with this re-issue. Thanks to the high grade solid Mahogany back and sides and solid Spruce top, the guitar is very articulate. Because of it's smaller dimensions the guitar packs more of a punch in the mids and trebles allowing it to cut through more in a band situation, working very well for both strumming and fingerstyle. As a centennial reissue - one of a limited run of only 100 - it has an engraved plaque on the back of the headstock, a limited edition label, and comes in an anniversary deluxe tan hard case with purple lining. Altogether, as well as being a future collectable, and historically important, it’s also a very cool guitar.
