NEW ARRIVAL 60's Gibson Dove's are becoming more of a rarity these days, and this guitar is a great example of one of Gibson's most famous acoustics. With it's Spruce top and highly flamed Maple back and sides, the iconic dove inlaid pick guard and bridge make it a unique model, and the multiple bound top and back, crown inlay on the peghead and split parallelogram fingerboard inlays are indications of it's deluxe quality. Tonally it’s mellower than other Doves I’ve owned, a little darker in the bass, and warmer in the mids and trebles. For a 49 year old guitar it's in excellent condition, with signs of light playwear, beautiful looking lacquer checking, and a professionally repaired top crack. The neck is very comfortable, not as slim as many late 60’s necks, with a low playing action, making it a joy to play. It comes in a non original hard case.
