NEW ARRIVAL It’s a real treat to have such an early LG1. The first thing you notice when picking up this 1951 example is the neck, it really fills your left hand and gives you the feeling your playing something really substantial. The next thing you notice is the volume the guitar creates, with a deep bass not usually associated with smaller bodied guitars, it really is a match for some LG2's I've played. Then of course there's the look of the guitar, it has a really dark tobacco burst - something early 50's Gibsons are famous for - and a beautiful looking teardrop pickguard. Tonally it's far more versatile than most LG1's - not just a blues machine, but capable of all playing styles. The guitar is in good, well played condition, with one tightly repaired crack just below the soundhole, and comes in a non original hard case.
