NEW ARRIVAL This is a very unusual example of a 30's Gibson archtop, with the very desirable small Abalone script logo. The guitar has been stripped back to a satin finish, the solid Spruce top top stained red, and the figured Maple back and sides making it a really distinctive looking guitar. A Kent Armstrong floating pickup has been added to give great versatility. Unplugged the tone is voiced beautifully for blues, jazz and swing, and plugged in the warmth and clarity are fantastic. The guitar has a very comfortable V profile neck and a good playing action all the way up the neck. It’s is in great condition, with the kind of playwear you'd expect from a 82 year old guitar, and a repaired back crack. This guitar looks, feels and sounds fantastic, and has the kind of vintage vibe that is impossible to replicate in a reissue. It comes in a non original hard case.
