NEW ARRIVAL Since it’s release in 1962, Gibson’s J180 has been re-issued in a few different versions, but never before in a vivid Cherry finish, in a limited run of only 65 worldwide. It has slightly smaller body dimensions than the J200, and produces a powerful sound with a more controlled volume and tonal range than its larger cousin. The Sitka Spruce top with Flame Maple back & sides generate a clean, bright tone and powerful projection from the wide lower bout. Made in Gibson’s Custom Shop the guitar features a double pickguard and a custom hand-applied cherry nitrocellulose lacquer finish, and the Mahogany neck attached to the body with a traditional compound dovetail neck joint using old world hide glue. The guitar is in excellent condition, and had an active LR Baggs underside pickup fitted with tone and volume controls mounted inside the soundhole. It comes in it's original Gibson embossed hard case with certificate.
