NEW ARRIVAL Gibson discontinued the LG2 in 1962, and since then they have become very desirable and quite expensive. So a reissued LG2 is a very affordable way to get that kind of versatility. The guitar features all solid tone woods - a Sitka Spruce top with Mahogany back and sides, and scalloped X bracing. It also has a vintage feel to the neck with a soft V profile and a nut measuring 1 11/16" allowing better string spacing for fingerpicking. To add to the vintage feel the guitar has aged toner to the top. As you'd expect from a 00 size guitar the tone is evenly balanced, although there is a bright punch to the mid range, so the guitar works well for all styles of play. It's also set up ready for performance with an LR Baggs Element pickup installed which features a volume control mounted inside the soundhole. The guitar is only 4 years old and in excellent condition, and comes in it's original Gibson embossed hard case.
