NEW ARRIVAL The eight-string Taropatch (originally called the "Taro Patch fiddle") is one of the early Hawaiian forms of the ukulele. Comparatively few were ever made on the mainland, but the instrument was offered as part of C. F. Martin's early uke line from 1916 to 1931. With eight gut strings on a longer scale neck the Taropatch was considered harder to play than the simple uke, and was ordered in vastly smaller numbers. So to find a Style 2 is particularly rare - a triple bound top with single bound back, all Mahogany body and neck with Rosewood fingerboard. For an instrument that’s nearly 100 years old, it’s in good condition, with just a few repaired cracks, and in excellent playing condition. It comes in a non original case.
