NEW ARRIVAL 2009 in the only year Martin produced the OMCE with Korina back and sides. It’s a rare and distinctive looking tone wood - dark and beautifully grained, producing a rich, resonant sound. The OM body size is one of Martin’s most popular, often described as the best for fingerstyle, and the cutaway on this model allows greater fret access. This guitar features premium quality Engleman Spruce top, a mid sized body, and 1-3/4 nut size, which gives greater string spacing for a better playing experience. It has an Ebony fingerboard and bridge, Grover tuners, scalloped bracing, herringbone trim, abalone rosette, and a classic style pick guard. Tonally it's fantastic, hugely versatile, capable of both bright and punchy tones, yet quite complex and able to handle the most subtle of playing styles - beautifully balanced with great definition. At only 8 years old the guitar is in excellent condition, with only the faintest signs of playwear. It comes fitted with a D-Tar "Wave Length" pickup, which gives lots of options when plugging in and the 18 volt onboard preamp does a great job of eliminating the dreaded "quack" tone that plagues so many acoustic pickups. The guitar comes in it's original Martin embossed hard case.
