NEW ARRIVAL This Avalon D300A Custom is really surprising, from their Americana range, and is a fine example of a clearly Gibson inspired slope shouldered dreadnought. It’s one of the most evenly balanced guitars I’ve played, with a full bass, smooth mid range, and sparkle in the top end. The Bear Claw Adirondack Spruce top adds complexity to the tone, while the highly figured Honduras Mahogany back and sides provide the warmth and resonance. It’s a great all rounder, equally happy being strummed, flat picked or played finger style. Visually it’s a treat, the custom ordered amber burst is beautiful, with Abalone rosette and Sycamore binding setting it off really well, and the snowflake inlays on the Ebony fingerboard are the perfect finishing touch. It comes in a Hiscox hard case.
