NEW ARRIVAL From it’s introduction in 1956 to 1958 the Guild F20 featured a Spruce top with Maple back and sides, before it changed to the better known Spruce / Mahogany combination. That makes this quite a rare find, and tonally different from it’s later equivalents. The Maple gives a sweeter treble response, while the Spruce top gives punch. Tonally is a little brighter than the later spec, full bodied, well balanced and really versatile. The guitar has a very unusual dark stained finish, giving it the appearance of an all Mahogany guitar, similar to the more famous Guild M20. Other than that the guitar’s in good condition, with a comfortable feeling neck and good action. The guitar has an LR Baggs active pickup installed with volume control mounted inside the soundhole and comes in a non original hard case.
