1959 Gibson J45 – £5999

NEW ARRIVAL  Something special happens when you pick up a really good vintage Gibson. It feels immediately comfortable and somehow familiar. It makes you play songs you haven’t played for years, yet makes you want to start writing new ones. It’s a very involving and emotive experience. This 1959 J45 does exactly what it says on the tin – a true classic. It looks great, feels great, and sounds great. There’s a dry rumble in the bass, a smooth sparkle in the trebles, and an evenness in the mids that gives a great balance. The guitar is in very good condition for a 66 year old, with just the right amount of playwear to tell you it’s been played and loved. The neck feels great and the action is very comfortable. Unusually for a guitar of this age there are no cracks or repairs. It’s an American classic, and as a 50’s Gibson it’s highly desirable. The guitar comes in a Hiscox flight case.
