1960 Guild A50 – £999

NEW ARRIVAL  The Guild A50 was only made between 1956 – 1972, designed to rival the Gibson L-48 and ES-125 models of their day, and have since become excellent options for players looking for an American made vintage archtop at a more affordable price. This Hoboken made 1960 example is particularly desirable because of the early Script Guild headstock logo and the original ‘Ghost’ label. It has all the standard features of the era, including the earlier open-book headstock shape, unbound Rosewood fingerboard with Mahogany neck, nitrocellulose finished all Maple laminate body, and Nickel hardwear. This guitar works really well for blues, jazz and swing, has a very comfortable neck, and a great playing action all the way along the fingerboard. It’s in excellent, all original condition – the dark sunburst is still vivid. This guitar has really striking good looks, and a wonderful vintage feel. It comes in it’s original, but quite fragile hard case.
