1976 Martin D28 – £2999

NEW ARRIVAL  Over the years, the D28 has become pretty much the industry standard Spruce / Rosewood dreadnought. It’s been played by countless famous musicians, and features on many classic songs. 70’s examples are becoming amongst the most desirable, since prices of the Brazilian Rosewood D28’s from the 60’s and earlier have gone through the roof. This 1976 guitar is a prime example, and has that uncanny feel of a guitar you’ve heard before on so many famous recordings – it has a timeless feel to it, sounds epic and feels effortless to play. The guitar’s in well played condition with plenty of wear patches, and two repaired cracks – one next to the pickguard, and one on the back. The Spruce top has turned a dark honey colour, and the Rosewood back and sides are beautifully figured. The guitar is back from a fresh neck reset and refret, and the playability is fantastic. It comes in a Hiscox flight case.
