2008 Martin D18 175 Anniversary – £2199

NEW ARRIVAL The Martin D18 is the original 14-fret Martin dreadnought – introduced in 1931 it’s an American classic. To celebrate it’s 175th anniversary, Martin produced a limited edition D18 in a dark tobacco sunburst. With a Sitka Spruce top and Mahogany back and sides, it’s equally at home fingerpicking or strumming big, brash chords, with endless versatility, from bluegrass, to folk to pop. The tone is deep, warm and rich. The dark sunburst finish really sets its apart from it’s competitors – stylish, classy and eye catching. The guitar’s in very well played condition, with it’s fair share of bumps and bruises – particularly on the back of the neck. But with all that play comes a really mature tone and feel. The guitar has a Fishman pickup fitted with tone and volume controls mounted inside the soundhole, and comes in a non original Martin hard case.
