2009 Gibson Songwriter Deluxe Studio – £1849

NEW ARRIVAL  The Gibson Songwriter Deluxe was produced between 2004 – 2008, and then replaced by the Songwriter Deluxe Studio between 2009 – 2014. It’s a modern take on Gibson’s classic square shoulder dreadnoughts but, together with a Sitka Spruce top, it has Rosewood back and sides. This combination gives a sparkling tone, with rich, detailed overtones – really quite dynamic. The guitar has an Ebony fingerboard and bridge with very striking Abalone inlays and rosette, an eye catching Rosewood headstock, and Grover tuners. It’s in very good condition, and at 15 years old it’s beginning to mature really well. The neck feels comfortable, the fingerboard is responsive, and the action is good. There’s also an active undersaddle pickup fitted, with volume control mounted in the soundhole, which sounds very natural when plugged in. The guitar comes in it’s original Gibson embossed hard case.
