2023 Atkin 0037S – £2499

NEW ARRIVAL  Handcrafted in Canterbury, Alistair Atkin has the knack of producing guitars with vintage look and feel and aged tone. The 0037S is directly modelled on a 1937 Martin 00-28, from their Golden Age of acoustics. The guitar features a torrefied Sitka Spruce top with a super thin aged toner nitro finish, and Indian Rosewood back and sides. The Spruce / Rosewood combination, together with a 12 fret neck join, give a dynamic, full tone, and the body size gives fantastic balance. The resonance is probably the main thing you notice – single notes chime, and the sustain is really impressive. Overall it’s a great all rounder, very comfortable to play and even better to listen to. The guitar is in excellent ‘aged’ condition, and comes in it’s original branded hard case.
