1973 Gibson Hummingbird

SOLD  The Gibson Hummingbird should be in the Rock ’n’ Roll Hall of Fame. Think Keith Richards playing Wild Horses and it takes you there. It’s as good looking as it is great sounding. A classic square shouldered dreadnought with Spruce top and Mahogany back and sides. The natural top has darkened to a rich honey colour, which contrasts beautifully with one of the most iconic pickguards of all time. Add to that cool looking block fingerboard inlays, and keystone Grover tuners – pure Americana. It strums beautifully, warm and rich, with a deep bass and a real bite in the trebles, it’s hugely versatile. It’s at home with country picking as it is stadium rock – just a classic. The guitar is in good condition, with just the right amount of honest playwear for a 51 year old guitar. It has an LR Baggs Anthem pickup fitted with volume control mounted inside the soundhole. The guitar comes in a non original hard case.
