2012 J&G Turnpike Slope D – £999

NEW ARRIVAL  J&G TurnPike produced their first acoustic guitars in 2010. As a relatively young company the key to success has continued to be a dedication to sourcing the best materials available. Each instrument they make is constructed completely by hand from start to finish, soundboards and backs carefully tap tuned to ensure a characteristically beautiful sound and tonal balance. This example features a solid AAA grade Spruce top with beautifully figured Walnut back and sides. The 5 piece Maple and Walnut neck is nicely topped off with a bound Rosewood fingerboard. The rosette, neck and body binding are Maple and Yew – all signs of a high build quality.  With a slope dreadnought body, the tone is rich and full sounding, the bass is deep, the mids are strong and the trebles sparkle. The neck is comfortable and the action feels easy. The guitar is in good condition with a couple of professionally repaired top cracks. It comes in a non  original hard case.
