2015 Vintage VE2000GG Gordon Giltrap – £349

NEW ARRIVAL  Gordon Giltrap has had a few versions of his guitar produced by Vintage. They all have the hallmark features of the original, unique Rob Armstrong design. The flared shoulders, tight waist and enlarged lower bout make the guitar very distinctive looking, and tonally very interesting. This example features a solid Mahogany top with Mahogany back and sides, giving the guitar rich bass notes with a real warmth to the overall tone. The classic Rob Armstrong headstock adds to the quirky vibe of the guitar, contrasting nicely with the gold Grover tuners, and the Vintage build quality makes it a stand out guitar in this price range. Also the Mahogany topped model is no longer in production, so second hand examples are quite tricky to find. The guitar is in very good condition, with the kind of playwear you’d expect from a 10 year old instrument.
