1954 Gretsch Synchromatic 6014

SOLD  The Synchromatic 6014 was only in production from 1952 – 1959, usually in sunburst, so it’s quite rare to find a blonde example. This is an affordable way to get a great sounding early 50’s vintage Gretsch 16″ archtop for that player wanting something cool to take to Jazz or Blues gigs without the worry of using their other expensive alternatives in their collection. This guitar is definitely for the player and not the collector. It’s in good condition, despite it’s many modifications. It has a Lollar Johnny Smith floating pickup fitted, and pickguard with mounted volume and tone controls. There are Gotoh locking tuners, a Tune-O-Matic bridge, and a later Gretsch tailpiece. Despite this, it still has a real vintage look, feel and vibe with great playability and a really versatile tone. It can go from smooth jazz to rocking blues effortlessly, The full feeling neck is very comfortable with easy playability. The guitar comes in a non original hard case.
