NEW ARRIVAL This is an all Mahogany, 00 size guitar in good condition, and a great example of a difficult to find Martin model. Tonally it has a warm, smooth sound, surprisingly full sounding when strummed, with beautifully defined single notes when fingerpicked, and an unmistakable vintage tone. The neck feels great to play with a gentle V profile, and the action is just right. The guitar is structurally sound with one repaired top crack, although the top has had the lacquer removed, also the nut has been moved to the zero fret position. The other things to mention are that a previous owner has scratched his social security number on the back close to the neck heel - something often done by US servicemen - and also scratched his initials onto the back of the headstock. Both these could easily be covered, but I prefer to leave that decision to the next owner as some people like the kind of character this type of feature adds. It comes in a non original hard case.
