NEW ARRIVAL These days Barnes and Mullins are distributors to the musical instrument trade, but back in 1894 and through to the early 1900’s they became renowned instrument makers, starting with banjos before moving on to guitars. This 1905 parlour guitar features a Spruce top with beautifully aged laminate Brazilian Rosewood back and sides. It has Ebony fingerboard and bridge, and a multiple bound body with a detailed rope inlay rosette. Tonally the guitar produces a surprisingly big sound, very well balanced, with good single note definition. Amazingly for a 114 year old guitar there’s only one crack repair, which is between the soundhole and fingerboard, and is good and tight. The guitar comes in a non original hard case.
