NEW ARRIVAL The Paramount brand was made in Chicago by Regal and distributed by William L Lange between 1921 - 1942. When he went out of business, the brand was picked up by Gretsch and used until the late 40’s. This guitar has the feel of a Regal rather than a Gretsch, although I can’t be certain. What I can be certain of is that this is a very cool archtop, with a central soundhole rather than F holes, and a very flamboyant Abalone fingerboard. It has a Spruce top, with Maple back and sides, and a Mahogany neck. Tonally it can take you from jazz and blues, through to swing and ragtime. The guitar’s in very good condition for it’s age, with just a couple of tightly repaired top cracks. The guitar comes in a non original hard case.
